Andrew at Bernard Andrews Roofing was very fast in responding to my request for the costing of a flat-roof repair. He was prompt and extremely personable at the inspection. His breakdown of works was exceptionally clear and detailed and in fact I used it as a blueprint held against other less thorough valuations to query the scope of the other firms offers. Though not the cheapest estimate of the lot neither was it the most expensive and Andrew’s knowledge and expertise seemed to me to be head and shoulders above the competition, therefore I felt his offer represented good value. I was keen for Andrew to carry out the works but by the time the other slow-coach estimates came in, unsurprisingly, he was in high demand. At that time winter was looming and so I was compelled to go with a different company, a second choice ….
…but here is a tribute to Andrew’s exceptional kindness and upright character - he offered that I send him any pictures of the work the other company was doing to consult on their progress. I was able to feed into the other company’s work as a result and to improve the outcome of the works. I am hugely grateful to Andrew for his kindness in this respect and as a result I will be contacting him first and foremost for all and any future roofing works. A really outstanding guy.
