This parapet wall in Archway was causing internal damp due to blown rendering and missing lead flashings. We stripped back the damaged render, installed new code 4 lead flashings, and applied fresh waterproof rendering to fully resolve the issue.

  • Removed all loose and blown rendering from the parapet wall
  • Applied PVA and water solution to prepare the surface
  • Fitted new code 4 lead flashings chased into the wall at 2.5mm depth, secured with hall clips
  • Applied new render using a sand, cement, lime, and waterproofing additive mix
  • Cleaned down and treated new leadwork with patination oil
